In this model students are encouraged to become creative thinkers through each step of the Concept Attainment (CA) model. Students are required to become active participants in CA activities. Students and teachers work together in this process in order for the students to construct meaning through examples and non-examples of various topics. This creative inquiry process helps develop critical thinking skills for every student. By exploring new ideas and topics, students build on their independent thinking skills and are able to construct their knowledge through their active participation. Each student contributes their creative thoughts of positive and negative examples. By working together as a group to think about concepts outside the box, students are able to grow as independent learners by utilizing this model.
